Bethany staff from Human Resources and Information Services has been working hard to introduce and launch a new goals based performance management process for goals based employees on April 1. Most salaried/non-union employees were placed in the goals based process whereas most unionized employees were placed in an expectations based process. Expectations based employees are part of a separate performance management process that was launched in January.
The goals based performance management process utilizes an online performance management software solution called Cornerstone Growth. Through the new system, goals based employees will engage in an
annual S.M.A.R.T. goal setting process aligned with the Bethany fiscal year and will receive ongoing feedback and coaching throughout the year.
The design of this program will be 50% goals based and 50% competencies based. The goal setting will be performance related and personal development based so that employees can contribute to better business results/initiatives, and can take part in job-related learning development.
In the next week you will receive an introductory email from Human Resources to access the Cornerstone Growth tool, please read the email and create your login information to gain access to the system. You can
also reach the Cornerstone Growth login page through Bethany Connect, by looking under “Resources” and selecting “Cornerstone.” This new initiative is a program that Bethany can look forward to and will align all employees to Bethany’s Vision 2020 goals.
